• Transparency of administrative fees: Do not forget that the administrative fee (Admin Fee) must also be proven to have a clean source, just like the official investment capital.
• Logical explanation: A Source of Funds (SOF) report written by top immigration attorneys will help the USCIS officer easily grasp your financial story, thereby accelerating the decision-making process.
If the investor or their children are already in the U.S. under legal visa categories (F-1, H-1B, L-1, etc.), filing the I-485 form (Adjustment of Status) simultaneously with the I-526E petition is an extremely wise move. This mechanism does not make the investment petition get approved faster, but it allows you to receive a Combo Card (work and travel permit) after just a few months. This provides benefits nearly equivalent to those of a permanent resident, helping you stabilize your life in the U.S. even while the I-526E petition is still being processed.
To ensure your file is approved as quickly as possible, carefully check the following list:
• Project documentation: Receipt of filing or the I-956F approval notice for the project.
• Source of funds records: Tax returns (3-5 years), notarized asset sale contracts, and bank statements.
• Transfer records: International wire transfer (Swift Code) proving the funds have entered the escrow account.
• Personal records: Passport, birth certificate, and judicial record check number 2 (valid and with a standard notarized translation).
